In 2010, I walked my first Camino – from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port all the way to Fisterra.

What started as a one-time adventure became part of my life. Since then, I have returned to the Camino almost every year. Over time, those journeys added up to many thousands of kilometres on different routes.

Like many other pilgrims, I tried almost every hydration system along the way: bottles in side pockets, hydration bladders with drinking tubes, different bottle holders and countless other solutions.

Each had its strengths. None was exactly what I was looking for.
